For the maintenance of optical modules, you can refer to the following points:
The following points should be achieved during use:
1) Handle lightly;
2) Positive optical port insertion
3) Avoid long-term exposure and use dust caps;


Pay attention to two aspects during daily maintenance:
1) Optical port protection
2) ESD protection


Specific considerations for optical port protection:
1) Select the fiber connector that meets the network access standard;
2) The optical fiber connector must have a cap. When not in use, put on the cap to avoid contamination of the fiber connector and secondary pollution of the optical port of the optical module; when the cap is not in use, it should be stored in a dust-proof and clean place;
3) The insertion of the optical fiber connector is aligned horizontally with the optical port to avoid scratches on the end face and the sleeve;
4) The optical port of the optical module should not be exposed for a long time, and the optical port plug should be covered when not in use; the optical port plug should be stored in a dust-proof and clean place when not in use;
5) Keep the end face of the fiber optic connector clean


ESD protection considerations:
1) Maintain the humidity of the environment at 30-75% RH;
2) Do electrostatic protection work during the operation of the optical module (such as: carrying an electrostatic ring or releasing your static electricity by contacting the chassis with the hand in advance), touching the optical module case, and avoiding contact with the PIN pin of the optical module;
3) The related equipment used is grounded by a common grounding point connected in parallel to ensure that the grounding path is the shortest, the grounding loop is the smallest, and cannot be grounded in series. The design method of connecting an external cable to the grounding loop should be avoided;
4) When packaging and turnover, use anti-static packaging and anti-static turnover box;
5) It is forbidden to perform hot-plug operation on non-hot-plug devices;
6) Avoid using a multimeter to directly detect static sensitive pins;
